Who is responsible

What the contact form collects

Your name, email address, company or industry, an optional phone number, and whatever you write in the message box. It is used to reply to you and to quote the work. It is submitted through Netlify Forms, which stores the submission so it can be delivered.

What the free website teardown collects

The website address you submit, your name, email, and an optional phone number. The page you submit is fetched and its public content is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate the report. The report is emailed to you via Resend, and a copy is sent to the studio. If you give a phone number, a short text may be sent via Twilio. Only submit a site you own or run.

Booking a call

The scheduling calendar on /book/ is provided by Cal.com and loads from their servers. If you book, your name, email and the answers you give go to Cal.com and into the studio’s calendar so the meeting can be created and reminders sent. Nothing on that page is used for advertising. If you would rather not use it, send a note or email hello@websbyspider.com instead.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages lead to enquiries. It runs on every page and sets its own cookies to recognise a repeat visit. Advertising signals are switched off in the tag itself, so no advertising cookies are set, no ad networks run here, and nothing is shared with Google for ad targeting or audience building.

We also count page views ourselves, without cookies. That counter records only the page address and one of a short list of actions — a quote button clicked, a form sent. It stores no cookie, no IP address, no device details and nothing that could identify you or link one visit to another.

To opt out of Google Analytics on this site and every other site, install Google’s official opt-out add-on, or turn on your browser’s Do Not Track or tracking-protection setting. You can also email hello@websbyspider.com and ask us to delete anything held about you.

Who else processes your data

Netlify (hosting and form delivery), Google Analytics (measurement, no advertising signals), Anthropic (generates the teardown report), Resend (sends email), Twilio (optional text), Zoho Mail (the studio’s inbox), Cal.com (scheduling). Each handles the data only to provide that service.

How long it is kept

Enquiries and teardown records are kept while there is a live conversation and for up to 24 months afterwards, so a returning client’s history is available. Ask and it is deleted sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing hello@websbyspider.com. You will get a reply within one business day and the request actioned within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection regulator.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. No data is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
